El Paso Turkey Chili

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey |
 |
1 medium onion, chopped |
 |
2 cloves garlic, chopped |
 |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth |
 |
3/4 cup water |
 |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
 |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
 |
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans |
 |
2 teaspoons chili powder |
 |
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin |
 |
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon |
 |
Serves 4 |
Step 1
Cook turkey, onion and garlic in a large pot over medium
heat until turkey is browned, about 10 minutes.
Step 2
Add broth, water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, kidney
beans, chili powder, cumin and cinnamon to pot.
Step 3
Bring chili to a boil; reduce heat to medium low. Simmer
until slightly thickened, about 20 minutes.
Step 4 Presentation Idea
For a memorable meal, serve this chili in an edible bread
bowl. Hollow out a crusty loaf of your favorite bread and fill with chili.
Garnish with sprigs of cilantro for an added touch of color.
